Businesses and governments will be shut down for at least 2 days or up to a week in various countries
from as early as January 22, 2012 to as late as January 31, 2012. China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore,
Vietnam and Malaysia will be most affected.
We would also like to remind you that inbound Dangerous Goods Restrictions are applicable to ports in
South China including but not limited to Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan & Yunnan Provinces and that
the exact suspension time and class of goods for different ports may vary. Carrier operational
restrictions might also differ including feeder services and Members should contact individual carriers
for specific information. Any demurrage / detention incurred at trans-shipment ports are for the
account of cargo.
